Androctonus
Question: Hi Dr. Luc: When my son was younger he was diagnosed provisionally with PDD-NOS. He has made tremendous progress and is in a regular school where no one knows of his previous diagnosis. His speech is still behind and he has auditory processing deficits. His current teacher has also noted social deficits; so we are once again concerned about this diagnosis - although it would be Aspergers now. We have seen huge improvements in his behavior using Androctonus. There is not a lot of documentation I can find regarding this medicine so I'm not sure if this is the course we should remain. Are you aware of Androctonus helping with reading social cues, speech and auditory processing. We know he can normalize and want to help him anyway possible. Also, should we modify his diet? Thanks so much for your help.
Answer: Parents must be aware of it that their child as he or she gets older that the tools they have available to compensate are different than when they are younger. But those expressions you mention are basically still the same and related to the same original incident (emotion or other) that caused a deviation from the normal constitution in the first place. I do not know the product you mention but it sounds like the usual "panacea", one good for every case and everything which is usually bringing suppression rather than a cure! At least a clean diet (anti-yeast or DAN diet) has some more advantages although it is not the ultimate answer at all.
Warm regards
Dr Luc
