Asthma
Question: My 5 1/2 year old son was diagnosed with cold/allergy induced asthma. Since he was 1 1/2 months he caught a cold and the coughing and wheezing started. Since that episode over 5 years ago things have not changed. Every time he catches a cold or gets congested his asthma kicks in. He is currently taking Singulair and Clarinex daily ( I'm not even sure this helps). Then if coughing and wheezing start we add Xopenex and Qvar. If it continues we add Predilisone. I have tried everything from NAET treatments, acupunture, pulmonologists, saline, peppermint teas etc. Through the night I searched the internet looking for alternative methods. I came across a thread for Nat Sulph 6C but I am not sure this would apply to my son. My goal is to get him healthy and off of all this medication that he is currently taking. My son has missed so much school, I am afraid that they might leave him back. Any help would be appreciated. It breaks my heart to see him like this. Last night he was coughing so hard his nose.
Answer: At least we can say this: asthma is certainly a completely curable illness in homeopathy. However we have many different remedies and I advise you to seek a competent homeopath and not trying something by yourself. Management is very important in such illness so this is something you must leave over to the homeopath. You can see that your son is caught in a recurrent cycle of colds, asthma, antibiotics, inhalers and cortisone, all of which actually increases the sycotic miasm of which asthma is an expression...so you are caught in a vicious cycle, instead of curing aggravating the underlying soil.
