antidoting
Question: Dear Dr.Luc, I have a question regarding antidoting: if a patient has a chronic artificial
(medicinal) disease caused by the prolonged use of a dissimilar/wrong homeopathic remedy (which
caused a complex disease, i.e. symptoms of the natural disease + proving symptoms) how do you
proceed ? For example a Sil child got Puls for a long time and proving symptoms appeared (or Hering
with his lifelong proving symptoms from Lachesis). If the remedy is correct we can slow it down with a
lower potency but what if the remedy was wrong, can this be antidoted ? Can I treat according to the
original symptom picture (Sil) as I would do in case of a chronic artificial disease caused by allopathic
medicines ? What if the patient is unable to recall the original symptom picture, treat him according to
the current symptom picture ? Thanks for your wisdom, Katja
Answer:All depends on how long this has taken place and what prescribing methods were used. If the
VF has been assaulted for a long time by a dissimilar remedy (wrong one) and this remedy has been
given either in dry doses or far too frequent in watery doses and in high potencies, then no doubt some
of the remedy symptoms have been added to the natural original disease of the patient. At this point a
complex disease is formed, more difficult to cure and the homeopath must now take ALL the
presenting symptoms in account, of the original disease AND the artificial formed disease. So in that
case one indeed needs to treat the patient according to the current disease picture. Here again is the
advantage if the homeopath used the 5th and 6th edition CORRECTLY (not always done at all!) since he
will detect such wrong prescription at an early stage (being in contact with his patient more often) so by
stopping at that time early in the treatment the wrong remedy the Vital Force easily overcomes the
wrong prescription without further intervention except for the homeopath having to retake the case of
course.
Warm regards
dr Luc
