Swine flu

Question: Dear Dr Luc, The swine flu has been confirmed amongst many cases
of severe
respiratory illness in Mexico. Until today over 1600 cases are reported n
among them
103 are reported dead. What should one do to avoid this and if affected
how would
homeopathy deal with this ? Any input on this is highly appreciated. Regards.


answer: So far in the US this swine flu has only created mild symptoms of
flu, far milder than the fluy of this year where besides sore throat
congestion of the sinuses and chest was seen with great obstruction. From
what I read about the symptoms, most cases fot Arsenicum very well and
just a few cases Gelsemium. As a preventive, even inmexico, they should
take 30c Arsenicum once a week, 2 pellets in 4 oz cup and 1 tsp from cup
to everyone of the family. But Arsenicum seem to be also the curative
remedy. Insuch case we would put 2 pellets in 8 oz bottle, succuss (hit)
the bottle 8 times and take 1 tsp from bottle directly every two hours if
needed. Look much to me like the SARS epidemic (158 deaths) we had in past
. We should remember that a "normal" flu kills 60,000 people each year
(would be mostly avoided by Arsenicum album preventively) while this swine
flu has not killed anyone here in the US. I am sure that decrwased hygiene
or ill health had something to do wiuth those cases in Mexico
