Search for a homeopath
Question: Is it important or helpful to find a homeopath who specializes
in the problems that you are dealing with? My daughter, 16, developed at
about 12 years old, behaviors and symptoms that have been variously
diagnosed as aspergers, OCD, sensory problems, ODD, adoption trauma etc.
We are working with a classical homeopath now but he is more generally
focused and not specifically experienced with these particular problems
and so far, we have not seen much improvement with my daughter. I have
been thinking that I need to find someone who works more with these
problems. Would that be a good idea or should a good homeopath be able to
work with this whether experienced with it or not? Thanks so much...
Dear friend
A good homeopath treats a "patient with a disease," and should be able to
deal with any clinical situation from pediatrics to neurology to
infectious diseases etc. It is actually the strength of a good homeopath
to deal with all medical conditions and no "specialization" is necessary.
Of course it does help if the homeopath has dealt with many cases that you
or you loved ones are suffering from, but each patient will be approached
as an individual regardless the name of the disease. Homeopathy is a verey
difficult subject and should attract the brightest of all physicians. But
in the real world this is unfortunately not always the case as medical
school does not always prepare us for this different kind of thinking
Warmest regards
