Question: Dear Dr. Luc - In Hahnemann Revisited, Chapter 9 (pg 169), you mention that if a remedy is not clear at the end of the initial consult, the patient should receive Sac Lac or nothing. Could you please advise why Sac Lac would be prescribed? Is this a remedy that would help to bring out more symptoms for the homeopath to prescribe on? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you for your contributions to SNC.
Answer: This is only done when the prescriber needs more time to analyze the case. Personally I never do this. Practitioners do this more with adult anxious patients who want a remedy for any little ailment they have a hypochondriacal patient in other words...but again, I can only recall one instance where I used Sac Lac.
