Chelation and autism
Question: Dear Dr. Luc, I have identical twin boys with autism. They have
responded very well to homeopath. However, I am curious about chelation. Why
don't we use chelation in conjunction with homeopathy, and what makes it
unsafe?
Answer: Excellent question since this is very often done in ASD cases. I
have done chelation 25 years ago (IV) with adults for atherosclerosis to
avoid bypass operations. When doing chelation monthly liver and blood tests
need to be done as such chelation is strenuous on the body. The well
indicated homeopathic remedy has a chelating action as the remedy is also
chosen according to the affinity it has on a certain organ system (gastro
intestinal, genito urinary, etc.). I have used in the past all these blood
tests and hair analysis but became disenchanted a little with them. I am
sure some labs are better than others but for me the real improvement is
seen clinically in the child. When mercury goes down in blood test or hair
analysis but the behavior remains the same, it does not make me happy., That
is again more imitating allopathy: when lab test is normal, there is
nothing wrong except psychosomatic! And all children coming to me for
consult have done chelation with minimal or no result.
Warm regards,
Dr luc
