Cancer

Question: Dear Dr Luc In the Oraganon, Hahnemann discusses allopathic methods of treating disease. He gives the example that allopathic doctors believe that removing disease matter is equivalent to removing the disease (i.e. a tumor) I was wondering...how would a contemporary homeopath treat a cancerous mass that may be growing rapidly? Would they want to remove the mass to stop it's growth and then treat the person constitutionally ? Or would they leave the mass and try to reverse it's growth by treating constitutionally? Are there some instances when physically removing (cutting out) a diseased area from the body is appropriate? Thank you for your time and insight.
 
Answer: It would be wrong to assume that homeopaths never treated cancer purely through homeopathy in the past. An operation is usually indicated in only 10% of all the operations done, no matter for what condition. Hahnemann already in the Organon tells us what operations are necessary: especially those that give obstructions on other organs, stenosis, volvulus, etc...But every case, cancer included will be approached as any other disease name: it is a patient with cancer and therefore each case is carefully looked at as what happened to the patient to let cancer evolve...it is always a mixed miasm, which determines the speed of evolution...and spreading. So tumors, cysts, can be broken down and entirely removed through the simillimum...The sad thing in "civilized" countries like ours, the Dr is obliged to refer the patient to the oncologist and they will rarely hesitate to do surgery, chemotherapy or radiation...And when everything goes wrong and the patient is dying, they are thrown to the homeopath...
