Dreams

Question: Dear Dr. Luc, On the subject of dreams and homeopathic
prescribing, how much weight should an experienced 5th/6th edition Organon
homeopath give to a patient's dream life? If there are certain dreams that
occur within a close time frame from dosing the targeted simillimum, should
those be considered more closely than others? In general, how does one
connect a dream to the prescribed remedy or the mental/emotional state of
the patient and if dreams are connected, how should dreams be tracked in
good case management? Thank you for your generous time, expertise and
important contributions to so many lives through this blog!

Answer: Dear friend, at this point dreams are absolutely neglected or should
I say unknown by homeopaths. Rather than new provings, it would be great to
teach this in homeopathic schools. So many things can be deducted from
dreams. Often a dream is the first sign, before the conscious knows, that
the remedy is right on...and a series of dreams (very important) allows the
homeopath to see if the previous dose/and remedy name were correct, as the
dream must go forward and the homeopath can see the dream theme
change. There are so many more applications of dreams and I already have a
new book coming up later to introduce the unconscious (half of our life!) to
the conscious so that we may appreciate the messenger of the unconscious,
the dream!
