Thyroid

Question: Dear Dr. luc I have completed reading only half the book of
achieving and maintaining similimum but could not hold myself about writing
this mail, its wonderful book with so much clarity about organon and was
thinking why i didn't got it before. 6 month back i gave Lachesis(dry dose,1m)
to one patient of hyperthyroidism.the patient was extremely chilly but in
repertorization this was remedy with max marks(mentals were most similimum)
after 15 days swelling over neck reduced and other symptoms like hair
fallling etc were stopped.she stopped neomercazole also but just after 1week
symp of thyrotoscisosis started appearing, i repeated now in liquid dose,no
relief, then 10m, but no change.patient left treatment. where i was wrong,
was remedy partially similimum.can one give hot remedy to chilly patient and
vice versa or should we delete all hot remedies from repetorized list of
remedies we get. thanks for giving us wisdom of homeopathy

Answer: Some things you say stand out: First never stop immediately the
allopathic meds the patient was taken before you know the remedy is
supporting the VF of the patient. It looks here that the suspension of these
drugs was done suddenly and completely. Better to do gradually with following
the thyroid blood levels. When you repeated in liquid doses one should have
seen better progression with first the 1M potency and then with 10M. I don't
know how often you repeated this liquid doses of course so everything depends
on the interval and succussions you did. I know Lachesis is a warm blooded
remedy but such general physical is not as important as the delusion and
mental/emotional symptoms. If the latter indicate lachesis then indeed
Lachesis was a good choice. It rather look that you stopped the allopathic
meds too soon before the remedy could take over
Warmest regards
