daily dry dosing
Question: Aloha Dr Luc, My 6 year old mildly autistic boy is being seen by
a homeopath on the island of Hawaii. My son is on a gentle detox program
as well. I am concerned because for the last 3 months the homeopath
prescribed a daily dry dose (2 granules)of a nosode, Tuberculinum. Jacob
is doing well relatively, though not as well as he was. It is hard to tell
if it is the detox or the daily remedy. Is it ever acceptable to dose this
way as a means of support while there is detoxing going on? Danitza galvan
Answer: Daily dry dosing is against classical homeopathic prescribing as
it is mechanical repetition, not following individualism and always will
lead to accessory symptoms, symptoms not belonging to the natural disease
of the patient. Furthermore, administering an unchanged dose daily leads
to the same problem and eventually creates a more complex disease. You
might discuss this with your homeopath and read more about this on my
website, Lessons in Homeopathy for the laypeople, so you can understand
this more. Also, the indicated remedy always does a "detoxification"
process as each remedy is always selected according to the affinity for a
organ system. Also, Tuberculinum is a nosode and nosodes need to be given
very carefully and infrequently and not repeated as such and the homeopath
needs to see what remedy picture will come up after applying a nopsode for
a short time as a nosode rarely if ever cures a case.
