New Miasms?

Question: Dear Dr. Luc 3 basic miasms (psora, Sycocis and Syphillis) & 2
compound miasms (Tubercular and Cancer) and their corresponding nosodes -
Psor., Medd, Syph., Tuber. B., Carcinosin have been tought and understood.
Although the understanding is not yet perfect. My question is about the
validity of additional new miasms and
nosodes that is being presented by the modern authors and confusion
created by it.
NEW MIASMS - Like Ringworm miasm - I considered it to be more of
Tubercular miasm Similarly - Malarial, Typhoid.. ect. that means any
desease which can transfer its bad effects to the next generation is a
miasm ! I am confused. NEW NOSODES - List is endless and confusing. For
example - For a Ringworm & tubercular miasm case should I use tradistional
Tub. Bov. or the new nosode Ringworm. Now, that it is almost as if any
morbid product you can think of can potentially become a Nosode? Sounds
ridiculous. I don't want to sound like I am old fashoined, rigid,
reliegious and dogmatic Hahnemannian. I don't know where to draw the line.
I may be wrong. I will appreciate your views Thanks Mukesh Kumar

Dear friend Mukesh

You are not old fashioned and you pose here an excellent question and
answered it also. In my book "Advanced Guide" I have a whole chapter about
this question (Revisiting Miasms). Hahnemann talked about 3 chronic miasms
(because a cell has ONLY three possible defense reactions and so has the
whole human body), acute miasms and ONE half acute miasm (Rabies) All the
rest, Cancer, TB and now the endless list of "new" miasms are mixed
miasms. Prsenting them this way as new miasms does create nothing but
confusion among homeopaths around the world and has brought nothing good
about treatment for the patient. You are right, we don't want to go the
direction of any morbid product becoming a "new miasm" or even as happened
in past, creating a "universal" nosode. Homeopathy is a very difficult to
practice modality and we don't need to make it more difficult with
introduction of new miasms.

Warm regards and stay true to Hahnemann
