Accessory symptoms?

Question: Dear Dr. Luc, I am a parent of a young adult on the Autistic
Spectrum. We have been using homeopathy for almost 3 years now. One issue
that came up soon after we started the treatment was self stimulating
behaviors (Stimming). Over the course of the treatment this has come to a
point where the child is unable to control these behaviors. We definately
believe this was triggered with the first remedy he took. No matter, what
remedy we take now, this just continues to get worse. What does it
mean? Has it been the wrong remedies, wrong potency, wrong dosing. Please
advise. A parent in great need of your kind advise! With best wishes for
the holidays!

Dear friend

Usually we can get such answer by looking at what to expect after a
homeopathic remedy (see 6 lessons on my website). As I know little about
the case of your child the following questions need to be answered: Did he
have no stimming behavior before first remedy was given? If not then this
behavior is what we call an accessory symptom or symptom belonging to the
remedy. But by stopping the remedy it should disappear. More logically is
that he already had some of this behavior and that this stimming
(stereotype behavior very common to autism) was accentuated. Depending on
the other symptoms that have improved or not it could be good or bad. Good
if before this he was always in his own world and now he at least has
some eye contact. Of course the stimmimg can be so severe that this child
is always in his own world and non participating in the adult world, which
would be bad. That would indicate another remedy is needed. The amazing
thing is that even when sofar the right remedy has not been found, that if
the right remedy was given it would be able to act. There is also the
possibility of a "miasmatic block" in which first a nosode needs to be
given. By looking at the family history and your child's expressions your
homeopath should be able to see this.

Wish you all the best for your precious child. I know how stressful this
has been for you and for your child who so desperately wants to connect
