Changing Miasmatic States

Question:
As a patient is being treated for their chronic symptoms, in this case a young
child, is it possible to go from one miasmatic state i.e. psora to
syphilitic to tubercular and then back to psora again as the layers are
being treated over a period of several years or is this an indication that
the miasmatic state that was being treated at that time was not fully
healed and has once again re-surfaced from a latent state?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and best wishes in the

Answer:
Dear friend! This is exactly what happens with most patients as all of us suffer from at least two
miasmatic states. Hahnemann gives us clear directions for this in Chronic Diseases: the first thing to treat is the last layer and the predominant miasmatic state, let's say Sycosis. This will after eradicating with often different anti-sycotic remedies lead to Psora as it is the mother of all miasms. But the second state will then be the second miasm that was the strongest after the first one was subdued and needs now to be subdued. And the homeopath ALWAYS has to finish with an anti psoric treatment as this is the last one to be eradicated and all of us suffer from it!
