Question: Dear Dr. Luc - At what point is an acute considered to be part of the chronic picture? Does the illness need to return several times or over several periods of months before it can be considered part of the patient's chronic picture? Thank you.
Answer: Good question. An acute at any point (even after a one time occurrence) can become part of the chronic picture. In other words, after a moderate to severe acute the homeopath always needs to check quickly if some of the acute symptoms have become part of the chronic picture. Sometimes it does happen and then they must be taken in consideration for the chronic remedy of the patient which now has become different than the previous chronic remedy.
