Psorinum
Question: Dear Dr. Luc - In your book, A&MS you mention to give a dose or
two of the nosode, Psorinum, as a preventative just before the beginning of
hay fever season, in March of each year (pg. 283). You also mention that in
August one would give a complementary rx such as Phosphorus, Pulsatilla,
Sulphur or Thuja (whichever is indicated) rather than a nosode again. Why
would it not be appropriate to repeat the nosode, Psorinum, in August just
before we begin the Fall allergy season? My son's homeopath will be doing
this with him over the next few weeks and I am just trying to educate myself
more on this. Thank you.
Answer: On that page I talk especially about the typical annual hayfever. It
is indeed a great advantage to give a 30C psorinum (1 dose or 1 tsp from a
cup of 4 oz of water) and repeat one week later. Just put one pellet in 4 oz
cup of water. Psorinum is a slow working remedy so best time to do this is
about 14 days before the season starts. Afterwards, it still could be done
if you had not done it on time but also we will look for the indicated
remedy (and we have many). The fall aggravation is more a sycotic
event...aggravation from dampness versus the hayfever allergy psoric symptoms
of the Spring. We usually focus on what the chronic anti sycotic remedy
should be.
