Distressed Baby

Question: Dear Dr Luc, I'm worried because of my little baby-daughter. She was borned at home with the support of my husband and two doulas. Baby came with a little surprise -feet ahead (my midwife said to my that she is coming as usual - head ahead). After birth she didn't breathe for some minutes (but the umbilical cord pulsated). Doula gave her Arnica and Carb Veg and some days later also Opium. Some days later the bilirubindoula gave her again a hp medicine (unfortunatelly I don't remember what it was) and the indicator went down. Now is she almost 7 months old baby, but her upper body is quite passive - she is not turning from one side to another and the hands coordination is a little bit poor (she is not taking toys by herself). Hear feet and hands are cold and covered with a cold sweat (especially when she is not wearing socks - with socks they are ok). The mental status is good and also the feet are working as necessary. We visited a reflexologist and a chiropractic level rose quite high (326) and

Answer: Your Doula did pretty well with the acute remedies (Arnica and Carbo-veg), I would not have been in a hurry with Opium but I cannot judge this as I don't know all the circumstances. For the increased bilirubin level Chelidonium is the right remedy. But now you ask for a more chronic problem, associated to a certain miasmatic state (Hypotonia of upper body, a sycotic condition). Cold hand and feet indicate the same sycotic miasm. You are right to be vigilant and there are some signs already to deserve a closer look. So I woulds hope you will find there a competent homeopath to take care of your precious baby!

Warm regards
Dr Luc
