Approach to the solution: the animal world

Question: My son has been diagnosed with ADHD/ODD since he was 4. He is now
10. For the past year, we have been trying homeopathy. She really
concentrates on animals/snakes/birds related remedies. Is this the right
approach? My son is very ODD and the older he gets, the worst these symptoms
are getting. He has begun stealing money from us, lying, and overall
disrespect. On the other hand, he can be very sweet and loving too. He has
trouble being still. In school, he is an underachiever. His teacher is
frustrated with him because he feels that he can do better and get better
grades. Although his grades are not bad (A's and B's). He can be aggressive
too. I just want to mention that we have him on a limited glutein,
preservative free/food coloring free diet. He is also on a bunch of
supplements. The remedies that she has given him have not really worked the
ways that I would hope that they would work. I think that she is running out
of ideas and I would like to ask which direction would you go in. I also want
to mention that he is prone to nose bleeds and has asthma (which has gotten a
little better lately). I know that it is hard to give a definitive answer
without seeing my son, but I hope that you can just point me in the right
direction.

Answer: This approach is not my favorite one and in fact I never use it as I
teach mny students five different approaches to find the simillimum. But I am
not saying that it is impossible to find the simillimum through such method.
More important is to do good management. The task of the homeopath is always
difficult as he relies on good communication and detective skills to find
answers to the most important questions. In general the public is not used to
such approach as allopathy has an entirely different approach: what are your
symptoms and how can we fit them in a diagnosis (a disease name)? Clasifying
remedies in bird, snakes, etc...and plants/minerals always seemed an attempt
to me to introduce biology, botanie and other allopathic sciences into the
science of Homeopathy. It would be more useful to put the accent on the well
established homeopathic principles and even more on good management. If
yourson is on a bunch of supplements that by itself makes the case harder as
I alrready have expressed in previous blogs. Biomedicine is one of our great
obstructions to get a good picture because of suppression of symptoms and
creating unwanted side effects. Of course I cannot say much about this case
without the whole case being presented. Miasmatic wise I can see a lot of
sycotic symptoms but I am sure the other miasms might be present. As I always
say, even when I am failing: Itis not the science of homeopathy that fails
your child but the practitioner.

Warm regards
