After syphilinum

Question: Dear Dr. Luc, My teenage daughter responded well to an
intercurrent nosode, Syphilinum 30C. Her sleep was completely reversed
(days were nights) and this helped her turn that around. Her main symptoms
other than the sleep are OCD with an emphasis on washing hands and
contamination. My question is whether the Syphilinum can be used as a
chronic remedy or is it best to use it only briefly as an intercurrent?
Her chronic remedy, Arsenicum did not seem to be moving her forward much
as far as the sleep or the OCD. Thanks so much, Sandy


Dear Sandy

Inbdeed Syphilimum needs to be used as an intercurrent but will not cure.
This means more than one dose of Syphilinum can be given (each time change
in potency through succussions) but after each dose of a nosode the
homeopath must look for the indicated remedy which has to be syphilitic at
this point for your daughter's case. Arsenicum is MAINLY a psoric remedy
and therefore fails to respond. Indeed it will be a remedy strong in
syphilitic nature that is needed. The nosode should clear up some symptoms
(like it did with the sleep) but the OCD, and washing her hands (is
actually a perfect rubric) must be resolved with the indicated remedy that
follows well after syphilinum. The Vital Force relieved from some of the
miasmatic overload through syphilinum can now bring the picture to more
clarity to prescribe on
