Diet and homeopathy
Question: Dear Dr. Luc My son has been seeing a homeopath for one year now
for treatment of Autism. He has been on multiple remedy combinations. For
example the latest combination is: Nat Mur 4 pellets once day, Ferrum 4
pellets every sunday for 4 weeks. I don't really see any significant
improvement in his condition. My question is: How important is diet and
adequate when it comes to remedies and whether they will work or not? My
son is a very picky eater(only eats McDonald's Fries and Ritz Crackers).
Could this be why he is not receiving maximum benefit from homeopathy?
Answer: Dear friend
No this would be not the reason. Let's look at it this way: it was not a
dietary mistake I am sure that caused the problem in your child. If
anything, what your son craves, will be one of the indicators to look at
when choosing a remedy although all children like the McDonalds fries. It
is hard to answer the rest of the question: is Nat m the right remedy? You
should read my 6 lessons on homeopathy on the web site (especially the
lesson, "What Can I expect after the dose?") and even then the dose and
potency and repetition are very important. It looks like he gets his doses
dry and I don't like the comnbination with Ferrum, there is only one
simillimum at the time, not two. The Vital Force gets confused this way
and so becomes the management. After one year there should be some
reactions (even bad ones would be a guide to the next step) so my guess is
that your child's case should be reviewed again and a mechanically
repeated daily dosing of a remedy should not be encouraged!
Warmest wishes
Dr luc
