Calc c and constipation
Question: Dear Dr Luc, A Very Happy New year to You. And we await the
release of your new book on autism eagerly this year. I have a question
regarding Bar-C /Cal -c constitution. In your book, you say persons with
Cal C constitution can go without a Bowel movement for days with
apparently not much discomfort. I have encountered this situation with my
child who is a Cal-C .I am trying to understand what that really means. A
host of probiotics also do not make any difference. If the person is
eating
a good amount of food everyday and still not having a bowel movement and
no obvious discomfort , what is happening to all the food inside the
persons body. Is it all getting disgested, no waste is produced ? How is
it possible for someone to be so constipated and yet have no discomfort ?
This does not sound very healthy to me.Yet Cal-C persons seem to deal well
with this. Confusing. Regards
Dear friend Swapna
Indeed to those of us who have daily bowelmovements it seems wondrous how
Calc c constitutions can go without BMs for days apparently in no
discomfort. And of course when they go, they have huge BMs! The metabolism
of a Calc c is slow acting and that is one of the reasons and because it
reflects the total nature (picture) of the Calc c personality, he is used
to it from day one on. It is like saying: he travels (his food) at 25
miles an hour because that feels OK to him where everywhere else feels OK
at 50 miles an hour. In the case of Calc c one should avoid for sure cow's
milk: although they often crave milk, they are mostly lactose intolerant
and it will constipate them even more leading to impacted stool. Slow
digestion people in general should avoid raw foods and cold foods
(salads), milk and dairy because of mucus production. The easier foods for
them to digest are soups, stews, warm foods in general and steamed vegies.
As your son will receive Calc c in homeopathic doses, he wil eventually
get better BMs but he will never be in a hurry not even in his BMs. On the
good side: they are really good natured people with great family values!
Warmest regards to your precious child
