Question: Correct Remedy. Hi Dr. Luc, We started homeopathy one year ago
and my son's constitutional remedy was determined as Calc Carb, he did
progressed very well on it, started doing imaginative play and his whole
awareness increased. However, he did developed fear which was returnign
symptom but it has been a year and the fear is still there. His homeopath
gave him Calc Carb 6C to see if it can help with his fear but it didn't
change anything, then we went back to Calc Carb 1M, it seemed that he
regressed and in the beginning I thought it was an aggravation but he
didn't
really got back to where he was, all his gains were gone. So his homeopath
gave him Lach 30C to see if can help with low oral motor skills which
didn't really help. He is now on Nat Mur 200C and started progressing
again the same way he progressed on Calc Carb, first imaginative play,
decreasing in stimming, awareness etc.(his fear is the same and now it
feels like he scared of other kids too). My question is why would he loose
all his gains he had, it feels that we are starting again from the same
point we did one year ago, and how can i be sure he won't loose it again.
Which
would be the correct remedy for him? they both (Calc Carb and Nat Mur) are
doing a good job in improving him overall.
Answer: Dear Irene!
The initial remedy did a good job with the increased play etc and return
of old symptoms, mainly fear. That the fear did not go away on Calc c
(although it is a VERY fearful remedy) can well be that it uneasrthed a
second layer that now corresponds to Nat m, which has its own fears (like
for robbers and bodily harm and the feeling of abandonment and isolation).
So the real question now is to make sure to make a good time line to see
how many different layers there are (keeping in mind that Calc c might be
his true innate constitution). It is your son's vital force that guides
the homneopath. It might look that he lost everything but the way he
reacted again tells me his Vital Force is good and he is able to work with
the remedy. The Calc c as I said most likely peeled one layer back, and by
looking very carefully at the time line (which I am sure you can very well
provide) we can help him to see how long he needs the present remedy. Also
keep in mind that sometimes acute events suspend the chronic remedy and
even sometimes change the picture of the chronic remedy that was
administered before. So there are several different reasons that this
event what you describe can happen but management will resolve the matter.
And if Calc c worked this well at first, then his Vital Force has been
strengthened which will be a plus point for whatever still needs to be
done!
Stay the course dear Irene and much love to your child
