Similar aggravation

Question: Dear Dr. Luc, My son was given Lachesis 200c with amazing results,
however, following surgery and a bad reaction to anesthesia, we had all
kinds of problems. Our homeopath recommended redosing at 200c...this did
nothing, then he recommended redosing with 30c...this did nothing. After
about 3 weeks he administered a 1M potency which seemed to do wonders, but
after about 2 1/2 weeks many old symptoms came back including a bedwetting
problem that has been under control for about 2 years now. The old
symptoms were very intense. Our homepath felt he antidoted, but I felt
more like the 1M produced too strong of an aggravation, but
our homeopath said you wouldn't see aggravations after that long. At that
point our doctor had me give him a 200c, this calmed him down immensly,
but a couple of weeks later after swimming in an indoor pool (chlorine
levels pretty high) he had an intense and sudden return of old symptoms
(it took about two days after swimming) we
were not home so I went to the store and bought some Lach 30c, the only
potency available. It seemed to help. My question is first , considering
that my son is very sensitive to chemicals and has many allergies is it
possible to be reacting to something and not necessarily be antidoted? Can
a reaction cause the remedy to be antidoted? Second, how does one
determine whether the problem is dosing, potency or not being the
simillum? Would the fact that my son initially responds well to this
remedy but when exposed to things he is sensitive to and gets thrown off
be an indication that water dosing would be more beneficial since it can
be administered more often than dry ? Thank You!


Answer: This is an intelligent question and your insight is really good.
As you see management as I always say is the real difficulty for the
homeopath. We may not forget that the patient under treatment is still
subjected to other reactions that have nothing to do with the remedy.
Cetainly from what you write Lachesis is the right remedy. Two things can
happen: sometimes these single dry doses can be cancelled for instance by
aneasthesia and dental work buit you bring an excellent point up. Your
child being allergic also reacts to other circumstances which create their
own symptoms and the acute disease can suspend the old chronic disease.
You can see the difficulty in management for the homeopath when the
patient takes allopathic drugs, does chelation, take antifungals, a slew
of supplements,and so on, all of it to which the patient can have an
adverse reaction, or a die-off reaction, etc. and create their own
symptoms. I think he reacted well to 1M except it was a similar
aggravation (proven by administering a lower potency and this settled the
matter) So you should stick with 1M, in watery doses so that the amount
can be adjusted to the sensitivity of your son.
