Croup
Question:
If a child has an acute i.e. croup which is really part of the child's chronic miasmatic picture and the appropriate remed(ies) are used, would the parent expect to see
(1) the frequency of the child getting croup decrease over time, or
(2) a change in the child's miamatic picture or
(3) both of the above?
If the appropriate remed(ies) are being used to address the croup but the frequency of the croup continues to be the same, what would this indicate i.e. suppression at its best?
Thank you and best wishes for the holidays and New Year.
Answer:
Great questions! To question indeed both things can happen. A decrease in attacks of croup because of an improvement of the VF since the treatment was not suppressive. And anytime any disease (which always has a miasmatic expression) is properly (homeopathically) cured, some of the miasmatic poison is removed, therefore preventing even more recurrence of croup OR any other expression belonging to the dominant miasmatic predisposition of the patient.
Regarding the second point: it might have been suppressive if croup is recurrent but most likely it is more a question of the necessity to stimulate the true constitution of the patient OR if this croup was only an exacerbation of a chronic miasmatic situation, and not part of a croup epidemic (A73) then one needs to seek the true layer chronic remedy and not a remedy covering the "acute", croup. This way recurrence will be of the past. It is the same thing when we cure ear infections acutely with the indicated remedy but fail to stop recurrence by not recognizing the true chronic miasmatic state behind it.
