Recovery
Question: I am the mother of two boys with autism - my 7 year old is in recovery and my 4 year old is still autistic. I recently discovered homeopathy and am currently researching to find the right homeopath. My question is about the simillimum. If the one correct simillimum is found for an autistic child, and is applied appropriately for a period of time, is there any reason why a full recovery should not be virtually guaranteed? In other words, are there other factors at play in recovery from autism other than ones addressed by homeopathy? I have read stories of complete recovery, and stories of ongoing struggles. Are the struggles just due to not finding the correct remedy? I am trying to have realistic expectations, but also remain hopeful. Thank you for your time.
Answer: This is a question I need to answer with 100 pages or at least a 3 hour speech which I will do this coming Saturday in Costa Mesa (TACA).
So many factors are involved:
1. hereditary background of the family (not necessarily is this the same for both children)
2. trauma intra utero: obviously can be different for both children
3. True constitution
4. Just like any other child or adult for that matter, recovery is never a straight line: they get acute diseases like anyone else, stopping progress momentarily or at least slowing down; events in family happen that might influence them (these children are much more sensitive to disputes between parents) so thinking once you are on the simillimum is equal to a smooth drive straight ahead without bumps is not true.
5. The mom who is usually the Rock of Gibraltar in the family (Hate to say it but men are usually less involved--obviously there are happy exceptions) needs help for her own health. The homeopath needs to have a balanced mom in his corner...if not, mom will give the remedy when it is not needed...bringing even more difficulties for the homeopath.
6. The homeopath needs to know 5th and 6th edition of the Organon to secure better success
7. The homeopath must be willing to be there for you constantly, follow up closely and above all know good management. There are really no easy cases in all of this and EACH case is DIFFERENT than any other child out there. That's why DAN doctors and their protocol (Diet, chelation, etc.) will have limited effect, I did not say zero but putting everyone including adults on an anti yeast diet (which what the DAN diet is) would help anyone in their health...but is such restriction a guarantee for cure? Not at all because the true background is more than a dietary factor. There is the genetic background and the multiple triggers which can include diet. Read my article the ABC's of ASD and much more.

This is in a nutshell an answer to your good question.
